Take Me

you took me to the castles in the sky

and shattered them, your smile so wry

you took half my power away from sight

thousands of times I won’t deny

you took credit for all my might

might I say you’re right?

so take me to paradise

but I want all the pain and all undue might

take my image, my inverse, my heights

you have all of them, I won’t inquire

but I shall say before we take flight —

you’re the clouds, the castle, the dynamite

I don’t mind the fright

I don’t mind to fight

I do mind them slight
